Westree Road Housing Co-operative is situated off Tonbridge Road close to Maidstone town centre. The estate has a mix of 34 properties providing single and family accommodation. It comprises of 9 one bed two person flats, 3 two bed three person flats, 8 two bed four person houses, 14 three bed five person houses, 2 of which are fully adapted wheelchair houses.

The estate was built in 1998 and is a fully mutual independent co-operative . The properties have fitted kitchens and bathrooms, are double glazed and have gas central heating throughout. There is ample car parking facilities for all residents and visitors and a public open space at the bottom of the estate where children can safely play. There is a service charge covering the grounds maintenance which is carried out monthly.

The estate is a five minute walk to the town centre shopping facilities and the River Medway is also a five minute walk away.

Westree Road Housing Co-operative has contractual tenancies, it operates a waiting list for 50% of nominations with 50% nominations to Maidstone Borough Council. The co-operative won a prize in CDS Co-operatives's 2005 Innovation Awards in the Community Development category for improving community involvement by running children's activities and other neighbourhood projects.
