Safeguarding Consultation

Nov 20, 2025

We’re updating our Safeguarding Adults, Young Adults, and Children, and Domestic Abuse policies to reflect current legislation and best practice.

Domestic Abuse Policy – What’s Changing:

Stronger focus on supporting victims, keeping safety and confidentiality at the centre. Updated definitions to match current legislation. Updated information on legal options available to victims. Clearer guidance on when information can be shared without consent for safety reasons.

Safeguarding Adults and Children Policy – What’s New:

Clearer guidance to help staff take the right action when concerned about someone’s safety. Stronger partnership working with local councils, the police, and safeguarding agencies. Easier ways to report safeguarding concerns.

Why we updated these policies

To ensure our approach is clear, current, and in line with the law and sector best practice. Our priority is keeping residents safe, by handling concerns quickly, appropriately, and sensitively. Updates help us ensure we stay compliant with legislations, and residents get the right support when needed.
