We are aware of the ongoing difficulties with the lift at Block 1 Phoenix Place. We would like to reassure residents that we are prioritising this repair as a matter of urgency and are currently working to ensure that the issue is solved in a way that ensures long term reliability. We have ordered the replacement parts required to ensure that the repair is comprehensive and long-lasting so as to prevent further problems in the future.
Sally O’Sullivan, our Programme and Compliance Manager, provided an update on this situation:
We are currently working with our lift contractors, OTIS to make the permanent fix to the faulty lift in Phoenix Place. We need to replace one of the parts, which is on order with OTIS who are doing their best to accelarate this process. Once we have news on when the part will be received we will let you know when it will be replaced. We know that OTIS managed to get the lift working again for now and if it breaks down again before the part is replaced, they will be sure to act on this immediately. We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and we will make the permanent repair as soon as we can. We will keep all residents up to date with a timeline of works as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued patience.
We understand that the lift’s continued unreliability is incredibly frustrating for our residents and we apologise for this. We are committed to ensuring that all our residents are safe and well cared for and are currently ensuring that any residents with particular needs are looked after whilst the lift is not functioning. We are aware that the lift is vital to many residents and are committed to ensuring that any inconvenience is minimised in all ways possible. In order to help us ensure that all vulnerable customers are cared for, we ask that you contact us if you, a member of your family, or any of your neighbours may need extra assistance. Your help with this is greatly appreciated. Once again we want to apologise for the ongoing issues and assure residents that we are treating the situation as a matter of urgency.
