Phoenix Place Housing Co-op is our largest owned estate, with 271 dwellings, located in the heart of Dartford.
Plans for a community hub at the site have long been in the pipeline and this year came together. The building design was a prefabricated design, built offsite, before being installed on the estate. The building work began in July and was complete at the end of October. The hub is now physically complete and just needs to be furnished on the inside.
The building includes toilets, a kitchenette, meeting room/office and a main meeting hall. The hub will provide a central point for the estate allowing the community to come together through providing a “home” for the Phoenix Housing Co-op which operates there. The Co-op committee will be able to run activities in the hall for residents such as IT training, fitness and coffee mornings to connect local residents as well as larger social events such as their annual summer fayre. The office will also be used by CDS staff at times.
Our client relationship officer, Nurain, has been working with the developers and the co-op committee to ensure the smooth construction of the hub.
We look forward to formally opening the hub soon. Stay tuned for updates on the launch!
