Our vision is to promote and enable co-op and community-led housing growth. In the last few months, as part of our role as an enabler, we have been working alongside the Greater London Authority and several London boroughs, to support and launch the London Community-Led Housing Hub.
The Major of London, Sadiq Khan, is supporting the London Hub and believes community-led housing will play a part in tackling the housing crisis across London. Sadiq Khan has said “London desperately needs more homes and it’s vitally important we look at all possible ways of building new and genuinely affordable homes to rent and buy”.
The hub will focus on delivering homes quickly and cost efficiently. Part of the work will involve collaborating to overcome barriers to growth and provide new and existing community groups with advice and support on how to develop.
