About
The Halt is a small development of 14 properties on the edge of Whitstable, located close to the Thanet Way. Six properties were built as shared ownership, and eight are rented. The properties are made up of two and three bedroom houses and one wheelchair adapted two bedroom bungalow.
The scheme was built in 1997, is not registered as a co-operative, and remains owned and managed by CDS.
All properties have central heating, double glazing and private back gardens. Some have driveways; others have the use of parking spaces.
The properties are approximately two miles from Whitstable town centre and Canterbury and Herne Bay can easily be reached by car but public transport provision is limited. There is a large supermarket a few minutes away, other facilities are in Whitstable.
All rented properties have assured tenancies. If you are interested in purchasing a shared ownership property you will need to apply to the local estate agents in the area.
