About
Golden Hill Housing Co-operative is a scheme of 35 properties on the edge of Whitstable, with open fields on two sides. The properties include several 2 and 3 bedroom houses as well as a few flats and one 4 bedroom house.
The Co-operative was built in 1996/97 and ownership of the estate was transferred in 2001. There is currently a steering committee which meets every eight weeks and who are involved in decisions made about the co-op. Members of the committee carry out lettings.
All properties have double glazing, central heating, fitted kitchens and bathrooms, security lighting and off street parking.
The estate is a twenty minute walk from Whitstable town centre and a local bus runs from close by. There are plenty of shops in the town as well as a leisure centre, bowling alley and the beach. Large superstores are nearby at Thanet Way, which is a accessible by car. Whitstable has a station and buses that run to Canterbury. It is easily accessible from the motorway with links to London and Thanet.
Golden Hill Housing Co-op has contractual tenancies.
