Brighton Buildings Housing Co-operative is situated between Tower Bridge and Elephant and Castle in Southwark, London. The majority of the properties are located in a 19th century building above a row of shops and there are a further 9 units to the rear overlooking an open park.
It is a fully mutual independent co-operative and CDS Co-operatives began providing management services to Brighton Buildings in 1995.
The 19th century building is Grade II listed and was constructed in 1892. It has central heating, door entry phone systems and a communal garden.
Bushbaby Close was built in 1991 and is built over three storeys. All properties have central heating, double glazing, fitted kitchens and bathrooms and a secure car park.
The co-op is in a great location for central London and is close to the Tower of London and London Dungeon and St Thomas’ Hospital, Grange Primary School, Tower Bridge Primary School and St Michael’s RC School are all nearby.

Brighton Buildings Housing Co-op issues contractual tenancies and accepts nominations for housing from Southwark Council as well as operating its own waiting list.
Brighton Building Co-operative’s waiting list for one bedroom flats is full at the moment. Only the waiting list for three bedroom flats and four bedroom houses remains open. Please note the wait is likely to be considerable.
