Bonham and Strathleven Tenants Co-operative lies in the heart of Brixton between Bonham Road and Strathleven Road. The properties are a mix of houses, flats, shared units and bedsits. Most of the properties are pre 1930s and the newest were built in 1993.
Formed in the early 1980s, it is an independent fully mutual co-operative and in the late 1980s CDS Co-operatives began providing services for the Co-op.
All the properties have central heating and some have feature fire places. Most properties have double glazing, the rest are normal sash windows. All parking is on the street in a controlled parking zone. Some of the properties have security lighting and the upkeep of communal areas for the flats is the responsibility of the tenants.
There are a number of good bus transport links to the city centre, and Croydon and Brixton tube stations are close by. Local shops, Brixton Market, Brixton Recreation Centre and the Flaxman Sports Centre are in close proximity as well as Kings College Hospital and St. Thomas’ Hospital.
