At CDS, we are aiming to modernise our offer and approach so that we can help to make co-op and community led housing a mainstream option. To do this, we have been recruiting great people both as employees and as Board Members to drive and support our ambitions.
One of our experienced Board Members has recently stepped down and we want to replace the skills that he particularly brought to our team. These include a good working understanding of leadership in a small/medium sized housing association, registered provider governance and risk management and general business planning.
Our ideal candidate will have worked (or be working) at Director or Chief Executive level in a similar sized organisation – but might bring experience from a larger or smaller leadership role. You will need good humour, pragmatism and enthusiasm about our mission and a commitment to working in line with our core values.
If you are interested in this role, we pay Board Members £1200 per annum and require a commitment of around 6 evening meetings per year (held at our offices in Borough) along with at least one weekend awayday and some training events.
