Periodically, we review our policies to ensure they are relevant, comply with current regulations and reflect our priorities and the way we work.
About three years ago, we re-wrote our Allocations Policy and are now due to review it. Although we are not proposing any substantive changes at this review, we are now consulting with residents to make sure we understand your thoughts and opinions about it. This is a great opportunity to use your voice and influence our service. We will take these into consideration as we decide what, if any, changes to make to the policy.
The Allocations Policy is one of our key policies because it guides our decisions on things like:
- How many people can be expected to live in each size property
- How we find new tenants
- Our position on transfers
- To whom we grant tenancies
- What people can expect from us from the time they are nominated to a property to the time they move in
- On what grounds we will refuse a nomination to a property
This is a policy that impacts all future and current tenants of CDS, so we really want to hear your thoughts about it. You can read the current policy on our website.
Please take a few minutes to read it and then send us your feedback by 14th October 2021. The best way to share your thoughts with us is by emailing us at Consultation@cds.coop. Alternatively, you can phone your Housing Officer or our main number on 0204 551 0080 to tell us what you think.
Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts with us!
