Fridge-freezer Fire Risk
London Fire Brigade has issued an urgent warning about the fire risk of certain Beko fridge-freezers, following confirmation that a blaze last week in a London tower block was caused by a faulty appliance.
Co-operatives Fortnight 2011 - sign the petition
This year Co-operatives Fortnight, the co-operative sector’s annual national campaign, will take place from the 25 June to 9 July 2011. The theme is ‘Yours to Share which calls for co-operative action to narrow the gap between rich and the poor in the UK. The Fortnight is supported by co-operatives across the UK, including CDS Co-operatives, and was kicked off with the launch of the ‘Yours to Share’ petition outside the Bank of England on 4 April.

The CCMH have launched their findings into the UK co-operative and mutual housing sector in their report ‘Bringing Democracy Home’ at an event at the House of Commons, sponsored by The Co-operative Bank, on the 24th of November.
Commission on Co-operative and Mutual Housing - call for evidence CONSULTATION NOW CLOSED
Launched in 2008, the Commission on Co-operative & Mutual Housing will independently research the cooperative and mutual housing sector, exploring its potential benefits, shortcomings and models, drawing conclusions about any current relevance and applicability of the sector, and promoting and publicising workable and desirable models that fit the needs of current and future housing, community and third sector strategies’.
