Information for tenants living in properties owned by CDS Co-operatives
Moving out?
You must write and give us at least one month’s notice if you want to move. We will visit you and inspect the property before you move. You must return all keys (or you may be charged for replacement locks) to us on the last day of your tenancy. You will be responsible for any damage you have caused and we expect you to repair any damage you have caused to a high standard. You should leave the property in such a way that it can be let to the next person as soon as possible. The property should also be left empty, in a clean and reasonable condition and clear of all furniture, belongings and rubbish. If you leave any of your items in the property when you leave, we are entitled to sell them or arrange for them to be removed. We will charge you the cost of any cleaning that is needed or removing any rubbish you have left.
Do not forget to read the meters and tell the electricity, gas and water companies that you are leaving. You should also tell the Council Tax section and phone company.
