how to join your co-op's committee

Co-ops work through co-operation, commitment and support for each other. The work that co-op committees do is voluntary and so it is important that the work load is shared between a number of people to lighten the load.

You can get involved with your committee by attending their next meeting as an observer. You can do as much or as little as you want depending on the time you have available. Even if you only attend committee meetings once a month your input into decisions and the running of your co-op will help to sustain it.

If you want to get more involved but are not sure how to, contact your chair, secretary or co-op support officer and find out when and where the next meeting of your co-op is.

Remember these are your homes and local environment and you are the best person to make decisions about how they should be run because you live there.
