- our Resident Quality Services Committee
The Resident Quality Services Committee is a sub-committee of the Society’s Board of Management and is the main forum for consideration of the services provided to CDS Co-operatives’ tenants and leaseholders, and to independent co-operatives. The sub-committee has delegated authority to take certain action on behalf of the Board of Management and also to initiate discussions on new policies and procedures, which will have an effect on CDS and its associated co-operatives. The sub-committee has recently been delegated the authority to manage service quality within the organisation.
Members of the Sub-Committee are selected annually. Any member of an independent co-operative, which is a member of the Society, or any member of a Co-operative Housing Society or tenants and leaseholders of the Society, may apply to become a member of the Sub-Committee. Please note that independent co-operatives must be corporate members of the Society for the nomination to be valid.
The Sub-Committee comprises up to 15 voting members; eleven of these places are reserved for co-operative members. Members are selected on a constituency basis and there is a limit to the number of members from each region.
Client co-operatives are entitled to nominate one member to serve on the Resident Quality Services Committee.
The Sub-Committee is a very rewarding experience for those who are prepared to give up their time. Members learn more about CDS and the services we provide and have an opportunity to ensure that these services are of the highest standard. There are six meetings per year held at CDS offices and members are entitled to reimbursement of their travel expenses and to receive meal and childcare allowances.
If you are interested in joining the Resident Quality Services Committee please contact Maria McCarron the housing services manager.
