Do you want to influence national policies that affect social housing tenants?

Then why not think about applying to be on the new National Tenant Council?

The National Tenant Council is recruiting now!

The National Tenant Voice is a new organisation for tenants of housing associations, housing co-ops and local authorities in England. It is being set up to give tenants a voice, influence and expertise at national level. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to get your voice heard and to influence national policies that affect you as a social housing tenant.

The structure of the NTV will include a National Tenant Council of 50 tenants.  The Council will act as a sounding board on housing policy issues, and will be formed to reflect as closely as possible the profile of social housing tenants on a national scale.  Some of the members will be elected from the national tenants bodies such as the Confederation of Co-operative Housing but 26 places are for open recruitment.

Anyone who is a tenant of a registered social landlord can apply, that means you! Expenses are covered and it’s a unique opportunity to develop news skills and get training.

You need to apply by the 16th October and can get details from the internet here www.hays.com/jobs/ntv or call recruitment agents Hays free on 0800 917 7396.

It would be great if we could have more housing co-op tenants on the council so please apply if you think it is something you would be interested in!
