Training Courses

We can provide tailor-made courses as required, through our bespoke training programme.  These courses can be on new topics or topics particular to your co-operative. For example your co-op may wish to look at ‘how to deal with complaints’, or ‘lettings and allocations’.  If we cannot deliver a particular subject, we can find you somebody who can.

We can also deliver refresher sessions based on our established training programme which was used when we established your co-op.  This programme was pivotal in providing skills to your members in preparing you for independence. Refresher sessions cover the following broad categories:

• repairs and maintenance
• allocation and lettings
• rent collection and arrears control
• financial management
• equal opportunities and race awareness
• co-operative governance and committee skills

 We can provide training for individuals on a one-on-one basis, or to a few individuals, e.g. the finance sub-committee, or to a larger group. 

We use a variety of methods in our delivery to make the whole learning experience pleasurable, using audio and visual aids and technology in an appropriate and sensitive manner. All our courses are as participative as possible.  We can also deliver all-day sessions in the week or over the weekend.  We can work within your own venue or a venue of your choice, but we can also arrange venues for you.
