Minster Housing Co-operative is located on Kent Avenue, Minster, Isle of Sheppey. It was built in 1996 and has 36 properties consisting of 21 two bed houses, 13 three bed houses and 2 four bed houses. One of these is a disabled unit. All properties are semi detached, have fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms, gas fired central heating, off street parking and private front and rear gardens.

It is close to local shops in the Broadway together with a health centre. There are extensive shopping facilities in Minster and the bustling town of Sheerness of Sea is close by.

The Co-operative is an independent fully mutually co-operative and has a very active committee.

Minster Housing Co-operative has contractual tenancies and, after internal transfers, 50% of vacancies are given to Swale Borough Council for nominations from their housing register with the other 50% taken from the Co-operative’s waiting list.

Minster Housing Co-op recently featured on the BBC Inside Out series in the South East which looked at the positive aspects of co-operative living.
