Deptford Housing Co-operative was built in 1978 and is a fully mutual ownership co-operative with 138 properties, mostly in shared houses, but also with some self contained houses, bedsits and flats.  7 of the properties are leasehold.  The co-op has its own office, community centre, Community Broadband and IT facilities, car parks and attractive communal gardens.

Located in the northern part of the London Borough of Lewisham, the co-operative is well placed for travel into central London. Deptford rail and DLR stations are both nearby and many buses pass along the major routes at either end of the nearby High Street. The historic Deptford Market, Greenwich and river Thames are all within walking distance.

Deptford Housing Co-operative issues contractual tenancies and accepts nominations from Lewisham Council. The Co-operative also has its own waiting list and often has availability in its shared accommodation.

CDS Co-operatives began providing management services on behalf of Deptford Housing Co-op at the end of 2008 and is currently responsible for the following functions:

• Administration of lettings (but not the allocation of properties)

• Responsive maintenance

• Estate services
