Allnutt Mill Housing Co-operative is situated in lower Tovil on the old paper mill site just off Church Road. It is close to the River Medway which makes a pleasant walk into the town centre, 15 minutes walk away.

The estate has 46 family houses comprising 25 two bed houses, 19 three bed houses and 2 four bed houses.

The estate was built in 1995 and is presently fully managed by CDS Co-operatives. There is a play area situated in the middle of Allnutt Mill Close where children can play safely. The properties are double glazed and have gas central heating throughout. There is ample car parking facilities for all residents and visitors. There is a service charge covering the grounds maintenance which is carried out fortnightly on the estate.

The estate is close to the St Stephens School on Church Road. Buses into the town centre run every 15 minutes and take about 5 minutes. The tenancies are contractual and 75% of their nominations come from Maidstone Borough Council.

The residents have organised children’s christmas parties and trips to the local pantomime which has proved to be very successful. Also day trips to the coast have been arranged in previous years. They take referrals from the local authority and have own waiting list.
