Joined CDS in 1979. Member of NHF Standing Group on Co-operatives and Resident Control. Clerk to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Housing Co-operatives. UK’s representative and President of the Housing Sector of the International Co-operative Alliance. Recognised internationally as an expert on resident and community control of housing and has spoken at conferences in the UK, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Estonia, Germany and South Africa. He initiated the research and chaired the advisory group which led to the publication of ‘Common Ground – for mutual home ownership’ in October 2003 and 'New Foundations' in 2009.  Commissioner on the CCMH Group that produced Bringing Democracy Home, an 18 month research project into housing co-operatives.

Les Haswell FCA
Director of Operations

Joined CDS Co-operatives as Head of CDS Finance Department in 1986. Worked as finance manager for a large housing association for 5 years prior to joining CDS. Trained as an accountant in private practice and spent six years as Head of Administration at Amnesty International Secretariat before moving into housing association work. Member of FCA since 1971.

Maria McCarron MCIH
Housing Services Manager

Joined CDS as housing services manager in February 2003, previously worked as housing services officer for CDS from 1994 to 1997 when she left to work for a large housing association in various positions up to area manager. 11 years housing experience in housing associations and local authorities prior to joining CDS in 1994. Steve Moorhouse
Technical Services Manager

Joined CDS in November 2009. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building. Steve has a wealth of experience in the building industry in contracting, private practice and social housing, and has worked for Local Authorities and large Housing Associations in senior development positions.

Previn Tailor ACMA, BA (Hons)
Finance Manager

Joined CDS as Finance Manager in August 2009. Extensive experience in accounting & finance, having started his accounting career in the private sector in 1979 where he worked for 16 years with ‘blue chip’ companies. Switched sectors in 1995 and moved into housing association finance and has since worked for various medium sized associations. Associate member of CIMA since 1993.
