The Localism Bill and the proposals for the Community Right to Build, Buy, Challenge and reclaim land all offer major potential for the community-led housing sector to grow and flourish. This year's CLT one-day Annual Conference focused on the opportunities for CLTs in the new political and funding environment.
David Rodgers, executive director of CDS Co-operatives gave a presentation to the 2011 Community Land Trust conference in May about the different forms of community-led housing and the latest developments in funding.
Other speakers included Pat Richie, Chief Executive of the HCA, Trevor Beattie, RICS Land and Society Commission, and from the US CLT sector, as well as speakers from CLTs who have already done it!
